چکیده

Recently, an alkaline earth hydride CaH$_6$ having a sodalitelike clathrate structure has been experimentally synthesized at megabar pressures with maximum $T_c$ of 215 K, comparable to that rare LaH$_{10}$. Here, based on first-principles calculations, we find exhibits huge peak in the Eliashberg spectral function ${\alpha}^{2}F$ around low-frequency region H-derived phonon modes, contrast LaH$_{10}$ widely spreading spectrum over whole frequencies modes. It is revealed associated effective electron-phonon coupling (EPC) between optical phonons and hybridized H 1$s$ Ca 3$d$ states near Fermi energy. As pressure increases, strengthened H$-$H covalent bonding not only induces hardening modes but also reduces matrix elements related thereby leading lowering EPC constant. thus demonstrated play important role pressure-induced variation CaH$_6$. Furthermore, unlike presence two distinct superconducting gaps LaH$_{10}$, found exhibit single isotropic gap.

Large electron-phonon coupling at an interface.

The strength of electron-phonon coupling in atomically uniform films of Ag on Fe is determined by angle-resolved photoemission from quantum well states in these films over a wide temperature range. As the film thickness is reduced, contributions from the surface and interface should become more important, and, experimentally, a large enhancement with superimposed quantum oscillations is observe...

Superconducting Tc and Electron-Phonon Coupling in Nb to 132 GPa: Magnetic Susceptibility at Megabar Pressures

We have measured superconducting Tc using a highly sensitive magnetic susceptibility technique to megabar pressures s.100 GPad. We observed anomalies in TcsPd for Nb at 5–6 GPa and 60–70 GPa, at which pressure Tc increases by 0.7 K and decreases by about 1 K, respectively. In contrast, Tc in Ta remains nearly constant up to 45 GPa. We suggest that the anomalies in Nb arise from stresssensitive ...
